About Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Program Works?

The execution model 1 aims to build 10,000 housing units on state land through an equity-based land-sharing arrangement, with developers handling infrastructure development and housing construction, while PHATA provides initial land use plans and oversees design standards.

Developers will cover infrastructure and construction costs, while the government sets housing unit prices and payment plans. PHATA will approve layout and infrastructure plans, developing trunk infrastructure for each site.

Affordable Private Housing Schemes

The objective is to create 20,000 low-cost houses in private housing schemes approved by PHATA, with a focus on allocating 20% of residential areas to low-income families, requiring developers to follow APHS Rules 2020 and set affordable house prices.

Allottees will deposit an initial down payment into an Escrow account, with the remaining amount paid monthly over five years, with PHATA overseeing construction and cost monitoring.

 Interest-Free Loans

The aim is to offer interest-free loans for house construction in Punjab, with a revolving fund established for applicants with urban or rural plots up to 5 Marlas.

The loan offers a maximum of PKR 1.5 million with a 7-year tenure and easy monthly installments, with the government covering operational costs.

What are the Eligibility Criteria?

The applicant must be the head of the family, a permanent resident of Punjab, and own a plot of land up to 5 Marlas in urban areas or 10 Marlas in rural areas in Punjab, where they plan to build their home, as of the date of their online application.

The applicant must have no criminal record, no owed money to financial institutions, and be registered with the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) with a household PMT score of 60 or less.
